On August 20th, the Eaglesgate Board of Directors met for their monthly meeting. Below are a few highlights of that meeting:
Pool Closure: The pool will remain open through this weekend, closing the week of September 9th. It does look like we have a few warmer days left, so hopefully, everyone can take advantage!
Neighborhood Party: The neighborhood association is going to be throwing a neighborhood block party on Saturday, September 21st from 5-9 PM. At this time, we are planning to provide pulled pork and hot dogs. Please bring your favorite side-dish as a potluck item! We will also be holding two separate dessert contests for both adults (16+) and children (15 and below), with prizes given away to the winners of each division. The first contest will be a pie contest and the second will be a cookie contest. We encourage anyone who is interested to enter their favorite pie or cookie into the contest. We will also have games and face painting for the kids to enjoy. We hope to see each of you at the party!
Lot 1 Purchase: The ECA Board of Directors is pleased to announce that after four years of negotiations, the Association has acquired the property on the south side of the Eaglesgate Parkway entrance. The property is Lot 1 at 1254 Eaglesgate Parkway. An effort was launched 4 years ago as there were significant concerns that any structure built on the property would not meet Eaglesgate’s standards and requirements because of the lot’s size, grade, and location. Any construction at that site would have created a disruption to community life, traffic congestion, and damage to the common grounds and entrance during construction. This lot is now part of the ECA’s common grounds. The purchase of the property was completed with the assistance of ECA's legal counsel Kevin Dunaway.
Email Drive: It is been brought to our attention that there are several residents who do not receive the neighborhood updates that go out from time to time. We are in the process of trying to secure at least one email address per household so we can make sure everyone is included. Members of the board will be dropping by in the next few weeks, trying to obtain an email address specifically for homes that we do not have one on file for. If you know of someone who is not receiving emails currently, we encourage you to have them send their email address to either the Club Management email (email@example.com) or the Eaglesgate Board email (firstname.lastname@example.org) so we can get them on the list.
Community Website: Please remember there is a community website (http://www.eaglesgatecommunity.com) that is kept up-to-date with clubhouse rental information, special events, etc. This is also a great place to find community documents that you may need: Rental Forms, Covenant Overview, Complaint Forms, etc.
